Not Your Basic Brow Tinting. Say Hello to HLT’s Newest Service, Brow Henna.
If you’re on the fence about taking the plunge into microblading or looking for a brow tinting service that lasts longer than a few days, henna may be the service for you. Henna is the perfect option when you don’t want to worry about your brows because they can stain the skin for up to two weeks and the hairs for up to four weeks.
What are Henna Brows?
Henna brows are a form of eyebrow staining. This technique is used to stain the skin beneath the brow hairs using a high-quality henna pigment. Henna eyebrows create an illusion of depth and fullness in your brow area by casting a shadow. It also fills in any sparseness that you might be experiencing.
Who is Brow Henna For?
Brow henna is perfect for those looking for a short-term solution to fuller brows, who want to test out a new brow shape before committing to microblading, and who want a longer-lasting solution than tradition eyebrow staining.
What is the Difference Between Henna and Tinting?
The main difference between henna brows and other temporary eyebrow tint services is the fact that henna is a natural dye made out of plants. It is a safe alternative to other types of dyes and tints. It is vegan friendly and the henna dye is free of any peroxide activators, which means that even people with sensitive skin can opt for it.
Another big difference between henna brows and eyebrow tint is longevity. Henna brows last a lot longer than your average eyebrow tint. It provides that powder filled in look and lasts a lot longer than your average eyebrow tint. Henna brow tint can last up to 2 weeks on the skin and 4 weeks on the hair. In comparison, traditional tint lightly stains the skin for 24 hours and fades after a few washes, making visits to the salon more frequent.
What is the Process Like?
The service itself takes only 45 minutes. The brow line is sculpted into the preferred shape using tweezers and trimmers, followed by the artist choosing the correct henna shade. Hairy Little Things only uses high-quality henna from the esthetician-trusted brand Ellebana. The henna paste is applied on your eyebrows and stays there for approximately 15-20 minutes.
What is the Aftercare/Maintenance?
Do not wet your eyebrows for the first 12-24 hours after getting your henna brows. In addition, use as little cleansing products as possible. The goal is not to over-wash or exfoliate around your brow area, to keep your henna brows from fading prematurely.
How Much Does This Service Cost?
$80 and that includes brow shaping, tweezing, and trimming.
