What is Lip Blush?
Lip Blush is a semi-permanent lip tinting treatment that enhances your lips’ natural shape and color. It is designed to define and outline your lips, giving the illusion of them being fuller in an effortless way. The technique that our lip blush artist, Nika Randall, learned is the Aquarelle Technique. Aquarelle lips are achieved with a pixelation method into the lips with no line of demarcation. With this technique, the color will heal with a transparent effect rather than opaque. This technique avoids the lipstick look, resulting in truly natural and healthy-looking lips. Gone are the old techniques of semi-permanent makeup! The healing time for lip blush is about 5 days.

How Do You Choose Your Shade?
The possibilities are truly endless, but our lip blush artist will help guide you in choosing the perfect shade that will result in “your lips, but better”. Clients can either choose a shade that is 1-2 tints darker than there natural lip tint or can bring in their favorite lipsticks to get the perfect pigment match. If you don't like the shade that was chosen in the first session, it can be adjusted after the healing process and during your touch-up session, which should be scheduled 6-8 weeks from your first session. Lip blush is designed to act like as a base, so you can still enjoy wearing other lipstick colors over it!
How Long Does It Last?
You can enjoy your lip blush for up to three years, however, we suggest that if you want to maintain your lips so that they always look their best, plan on scheduling a touch-up every year for best results.
If you do not maintain, the color will lighten over time. Fading greatly depends on your skin type and tone, lifestyle, sun exposure, pigment color used, and your overall health.
*Please note that final results cannot be guaranteed, as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. We will re-evaluate how your skin has received the pigment at your touch-up session and make any changes. Two appointments are recommended initially, with the second one being 6-8 weeks apart from the first. At your touch-up, we will assess the color retention and make any adjustments necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your lip blush does not heal perfectly the first time, do not worry! We can always make necessary adjustments when you return!
Who Should Avoid Lip Blush?
Individuals who have blood or immune deficiencies. Children under the age of 18 years old as well as those who are pregnant. If the client is breastfeeding, she must wait at least 60 days from the last time she breast feeds due to hormones in her body.
